Pixar in a Brush from Khan Academy

Pixar in a Box is a behind-the-scenes look at how Pixar artists do their jobs. You will be able to animate bouncing balls, build a swarm of robots, and make virtual fireworks explode. The subjects you learn in school — math, science, computer science, and humanities — are used every day to create amazing movies at Pixar. This collaboration between Pixar Animation Studios and Khan Academy is sponsored by Disney.”

New Logictech C922 Webcam

The C922 is the successor to the C920, which I have on this computer. The audio I record along with video on the C920 is surprisingly good. The C922 features background removal, and can capture video at resolutions of 720p with 60 frames per second. It also has better low-light correction and stereo audio capture. The selling price is only $99, the same as the C920.

Getting Digital is Required

A great article by Eric Stoller, He says it much better than I could:

“Folks, it’s time to get digital. All of us. Top down, bottom up…the entire organization needs to be fluent with using current technologies to teach, support, and engage students.”
I work with teachers who are much younger than me who wish they never had to use any technology in the the classroom more advanced tan a white board marker, and they hate every minute they have to spend doing anything digital. I don’t understand this attitude, but some of them will teach another twenty years and never change.
